The name “Shamayim” (שָׁמַיִם) is a Hebrew word meaning “heavens” or “sky,” and it reflects the heart and purpose behind our breeding program. At Shamayim Shepherds, we believe that these incredible dogs are truly a gift from above — bringing joy, devotion, and companionship to our lives every single day.


Just like the boundless skies, our passion for Miniature American Shepherds knows no limits. Our goal is to breed sound, beautiful dogs that excel both in the show ring and as cherished family companions. Our dogs are loved like family and nurtured with devotion, celebrating their lineage and striving for the highest quality. Each puppy raised is a reflection of the spirit which ‘Shamayim,’ represents-  reaching toward a future as bright as the heavens above..

Meet the Breeder

Hi! I’m Kiana, owner of Shamayim Shepherds. I am a lifelong animal lover, and have always been passionate about nurturing & raising animals since I was a young girl. I fell head over heels in love with the Miniature American Shepherd, and now my goal is to dedicate myself to improving the breed and raising the best dogs! They are truly a joy and blessing to spend our lives with!

About Our Program

My breeding program is small and special- I spend all of my time with my dogs and they are all well adjusted to a family atmosphere. The puppies are born and raised in my bedroom, so I am always close by to keep a caring watch over them. They are all socialized with children from day one, and we have an array of other animals on our farm, which makes them the perfect family and farm dogs!
